Life slowed down a little during November...but really it just meant we had to catch up on a bunch of stuff...like planning Savannah's birthday party (coming up very, very soon!!).
We celebrated Thanksgiving with our wonderful neighbors. Savannah got to eat dressing and mashed potatoes for the very first time (she already eats steamed & pureed turkey on a regular basis). She also tried pumpkin pie - she loved it!
Savannah finally cut her first tooth!!! It was a LONG time coming and we were very excited. We hoped this would give her some relief, but as soon as she cut that one, she began feeling pressure from her second one...she cut that one just about a week later!
As she took off walking during the month of November, I thought it was appropriate she get her first proper pair of walking shoes. She's not a huge fan yet, but I think she understands the point of them as she only takes them off when we're in the car or at home.
This was quickly followed by her 2nd and 3rd pair of walking shoes (hey, a girl has to have options!!).
Savannah learned to hold and throw crayons around...coloring usually happens by accident still and usually on her clothes, the floor or the wall when she launches a crayon across the room or sits on one.
She also learned to give kisses...which she loves planting on her daddy and me...especially when she wants to distract us from whatever hijinks she's getting into!
Savannah's overall look changed a good bit during her 11th month.
It's hard to put into words...but this month, her curly hair grew out even more and I think because of the walking, her little face lost some baby fat (though she didn't lose any weight). I think this all led to a new stunning looking little girl...I mean just look at these pictures!!
Stunning! She really does take my breath away!
