On Bringing Sexy Back

We're only 1 day from Savannah reaching her 2 month mark, but that will get its own post later...

This is about the all-too-serious topic of bringing sexy back!

I was on my way to bringing it.  In fact, out of the 48 lbs I gained while pregnant (I KNOW!! GASP!)I've lost 38.  Those slipped off quite mindlessly. Only 10 more to go.

As soon as my doctor gave clearance to start working out at the six week mark, I was ready to start a running program.

So I hopped on the treadmill the very next day...and then did the same the following day.  Then, the morning after that, I felt like I had been rubbed by sand paper on my upper body.  Turns out marathon feedings by our dear Savannah plus friction related to sweat equals pain, pain, pain.

Adam went to buy me a new sports bra, but ended up first, buying one that wouldn't fit past my neck. Then, having an uncomfortable discussion with female employees at a sporting goods store where he described (using hand gestures) how big my tatas had become. After all that, poor guy came home with the most unsupportive piece of fabric imaginable and news that he had been forced to sign some agreement that he would not try to exchange it again. He may not, but I sure as hell will!
Hell hath no fury like a woman with sore nips!

I am determined to start giving Savannah one bottle a day
this week. However, I will not sacrifice a drop in supply
for my efforts in bringing sexy back.
Last time I cut calories, production dropped.
Ya'll formula must not touch my future CEO's lips within the first six months!
Only super immunity and brain boosting momma-milk for her!

I've kept up with our daily walks (evidence below-notice the Maserati belonging to one of our luxe neighbors) except for on days where 15 min of sleep is the difference between me going REDRUM on everyone in this house and a happy mommy.
I'm learning though after one hard night last week that the nanny is a nanny for a reason.
After 4 hours of nursing, burping and rocking...I gave up and called the nanny up. She had her asleep in less than 10 min.
You see, my agreement is that bath times and bed times are a purely mommy and daddy ritual. Well that agreement is going out the window on nights I can't get her to sleep from now on!

I'm going to attempt to start a Pilates iTunes download I found at least every other day. After all, with the exception of my chest and tummy, the rest of my body is back to pre-pregnancy condition.

I've realized working out, being a semi attentive wife, working and being a mommy is an extremely difficult juggling act. Every spare minute counts, whether it be for sleep or blog updates!
