Sweet, sweet Savannah is 1 month old today!

Time has flown, even though early on, I wasn't sure how we would make it to this point!

Caring for a newborn is tough work, but each day gets a little more rewarding.

You came into this world, screaming over my head, with a gorgeous head full of hair.

Every day, your sounds get a little more pronounced. I make it a point to constantly and slowly explain everything I'm doing. I swear, sometimes you argue with me!

You are MY daughter, so this wouldn't surprise me in the slightest.

You have achieved all the expected 1 month milestones with ease.

You can hold your head and actually prefer nursing in a tummy-time position, making your neck and arms super strong!

We introduced you to a pacifier this week and you make it clear you understand there's no milk coming from it. You let us know when it's not cutting it!

You have clear likes and dislikes by this point.

We're very excited about your 1 month birthday! In fact, daddy made a cake for the big day...a CocaCola chocolate cake! You can't taste it directly, so I'll be sure to have enough of it for you!
I think this may be a tradition, at least for each monthly birthday during your first year. Daddy is a fantastic sweets baker and I'm sure he can easily come up with 11 different cakes for you before your big one on your 1 year birthday.
