28 Weeks - Savannah Jean

Our baby is growing fast!  Seems like just yesterday we kept looking at an ultrasound picture trying to make sense out of shapes that could best be described as looking like an overgrown Gulf (of Mexico, not Arabian) shrimp.

Our wonderful doctor in Dubai gave us a free 3D ultrasound at 28 weeks and we finally have a view with a little more detail and some clues as to what our little girl will actually look like.

The ultrasound also surprised us and gave us a chuckle when we noticed in one of the pictures the silly girl is making an irritated expression because she’s kicking her own eye with her foot!

How’s that for flexibility?!?  Maybe’s she’s an Olympic diver in the making! 

Savannah Jean is growing strong – weighing in at over 3lbs.  Her head size is already impressively big – actually bigger than 81 % of babies her age.  She’s going to be a brainy one!

Seeing her features for the first time was incredible.  Though it’s still pretty early and her facial structure will change as she grows, we think we see my forehead and eye shape and daddy’s nose, lips and chin.  Our doctor agreed and immediately said she thought the baby looked like Adam from the nose down. 

She already looks gorgeous and I love that we were able to have several pictures of different facial expressions.  If mine and daddy’s temperament are any clue, that already pouty bottom lip is bound to be connected to a very strong willed and determined little girl!

Needless to say, we’re already deeply in love with our daughter and cannot wait to meet her!
