I know Easter was a few weeks ago, but we were inspired by all the nest egg cakes and in a fit of nostalgia decided to head back to my childhood with the toddler and make Chocolate Cornflake cakes with the toddler. Then I ate pretty much all of them, what can I say, chocolate sends the toddler doolally!
A really easy recipe to follow with even young kids, this was one of our first baking experiments when the toddler first learned to stand!
200g Milk Chocolate
50g Butter
3 tbsps Golden Syrup
Mini Eggs to decorate
1. Line a cupcake tin with 12 paper cases
2. Weigh out cornflakes and put to one side
3. In a separate, heatproof, bowl weigh out the rest of the ingredients
4. Gently melt over a pan of hot water
5. Add the melted chocolate to the cornflakes and mix well
6. Spoon into cases
7. Decorate with mini eggs
8. Chill for a couple of hours and enjoy
