20 Things My Husband Says About Me

Written By andrey on вторник, 23 апреля 2013 г. | 11:29

K, so the reason I posted my list yesterday was because I saw this awesome Link-up at From Mrs. To Mama's blog where spouses write up about their blogging ladies.
Never in a million years did I expect such a sweet listing from Adam. He's away from the Dhabi on business in India and I know he's eager to come home after a long work week. Maybe I should get him to write about me during all his long business trips!!

Without further ado, here are 20 things Mr.Wilson wrote about me copied and pasted directly from his email:

1) My wife is the most patient person in the world with me.  Despite that she has severe ADHD, she always remembers that I'm not perfect and eventually I'll come around.  Because I have severe, unmedicated ADHD as well.

2) I love my wife's playful side.  When you get her away from the stress of 8-5 and in a pure family setting, she is so much fun and just like a kid with me and the baby.  Who am I kidding?  She's fun at work too after a big cup of coffee, in an adult ball busting kind of way!

3) My wife is smart.  And not like book smart, but hella worldly logical smart.  I've seen her score higher on an LSAT exam from just picking it up and taking a practice test with no studying, compared to countless hours of studying on my part to just get a lower score.

4) Oh, and in addition.  Business strategy.  My wife is amazing to watch when it comes to her knowledge of business and most importantly, customers.  I told her just two weeks ago that she needs to go for a job in sales instead of commercial or operations (her current path).  She could sell sand to the Arabs.  No sh&t!

5) My wife is sexy!  And when I say sexy, I mean in a Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek, Princess Ameerah Al-Taweel type of sexy!  Giselle, eat your heart out.

6) I love her because she is funny.  Like belly laugh ten times a day funny.  You can't make the stuff up that we tell each other and laugh about.

7) She is soft and gentle with our daughter, as a mother should be.  When she holds her it gives me an incredible feeling knowing the strong woman our child will grow into with her as her mother.

8) She is argumentative, but not too a fault.  She knows how to push me just enough to get me to be the man that I am supposed to be without losing the plot.  She made me who I am today.

9) She likes to try new foods and visit new places.  Granted there are some places that she will simply not go, and for good reason (Anywhere east of Romania, south of China and north of Thailand), but that's ok because she doesn't want to put us in harm's way.

10) She can put together a wardrobe like a fashionista.  How often do you see a girl who can go from gym clothes, to catwalk ready in an hour or so?  Who am I kidding though?  She is always a knockout to me, especially when she's sweaty from a workout!

11) She likes movies and staying up late to watch DVR'd TV shows with me.  Even on a work night.

12) She loves the beach.  We have a place in St Martin that is just ours.  And we don't even have to say anything when we see pictures from "our spot", because we remember the events from the year and a half after the first time we visited there.

13) She is brave.  She gave birth to our daughter in a foreign country, after we planned the "perfect" child birth scenario for 7 months, and ended up having to have a last minute change of plans in how our daughter came into the world.

14) Not in a million years could I have done number 13!

15) She can cook!  And I don't mean hamburger helper cook, but hands in the dough rolling tortillas, enchilada assembly line, arroz con tomate, Mexican food cooking.

16) She likes it when I cook for her.  Well except for the nights where the chicken is undercooked.  But most of the time I have to tell her to not eat it when it is, because she would go ahead anyway to not hurt my feelings.

17) She loves Saturday morning snuggles, and dreams with me of the day that our daughter will be downstairs with us watching cartoons while we make pancakes at 6 AM with our eyes half open.

18) She lets me be me.  Even though she sometimes questions why I can't just play all of "Wonder Wall" on my guitar instead of launching into an improvisational solo over the chord progression.  I blame the ADHD!  But she still gets it.

19) She loves to read.  A trait she is sure to pass on to our daughter.

20) I could come up with 40 more of these if the blog requires it, but I will leave with this.  There is no one in this world who gets me, makes me as happy or who I would rather spend every single minute of my life with than my wife. She has been there for me through the best and worst of times.  She loves me, almost unconditionally, and is the light in mine and our daughter's life.
